Scales, Perfect Day
Lesson Notes | One thing that I would really like to see is some significant improvement in scales. There's two keys to framing this task that I think would help: 1: Scales must be played slowly with attention to the relaxation and minimal effort–– which means that the wrist stays mostly flat, the fingers don't go into awkward positions, the rhythm is unencumbered. 2: Scales can be practiced mindfully without much thinking. Doing them 7 minutes a day would be significant, especially if you focused more than half of that on your left hand. In terms of the repertoire, I think you were feeling a bit of brain fog today, or maybe I was, because I wasn't sure what challenges I could help with. I think updating your sheet music would be good. So I'm attaching that in your google drive, accessible below. In this new version, transfer the previous one's notes and fingerings, unless you feel them unnecessary. Be careful when transferring, it's easy to miss a measure and end up needing to redo everything (Use Pencil!) For practice, consider the key signatureS<<
